Let's play Resident Evil Requiem with RX 660

Throwback few months ago where Resident Evil Requiem games was released and it managed to break the record for this franchise especially for the Steam version

SteamDB showed that it managed to reach more than 200.000 players on first day and reached the peak up to more than 300.000 players which is of course the fastest in this series.

In term of popularity and peak player, RE Requiem is followed by Resident Evil 4 Remake and RE Village.

Such record proves that the enthusiasm of gamers about the games itself.

In term of user score on Metacritic, it managed to stand side by side with Clair Obscur.

Yes not only in term of popularity, the games shines for the gameplay.

For PC or steam version, remember to meet the requirement as suggested by Capcom.

With minimum CPU requirement is either Ryzen 5 3500 or i5-8500. The minimum video card needed is GTX 1660 or  RX 5500 XT. It is expected you can still use upscaling mode on lower resolutions.

Closer to RX 5500 XT which is the predecessor of RX 6500 XT. Interestingly, the former card is equipped with PCIe 4.0 x8 instead of 4.0 x4 like the latter product that limit the performance.

Certainly if you force to use the card on old generation pci 3.0 motherboard then notice the downgrade in performance. In many videos they show that RX 6500 XT perform up to 10 fps lower than it should be.

Next is RX 6600 which is the recommended requirement, well this video card is also recommended even though the new product is no longer on sale, so you can only get the second hand option to get.

Back to metacritic, beside the review score from many games site, another factor you can see as quality of the games to measure is via user score.

On the release date the games managed to score about 9,5 that made it higher than Clair Obscur.

As a Resident Evil fan you can expect if RE: Requiem is one of candidate for the game of the year. You can also check good graphics card under 100 for other reference for your component of PC.
